On good decision making

All little girls dream about getting married someday, well at least the one's I've known do. M is obsessed with getting married. Every day she talks about marrying the Prince who has black hair. I can say that I'm happy with this choice and we've talked about how Mommy and Daddy will help her make sure her Prince is the best one for her.

Previous to the Prince, M was adamant that she was going to marry the Wal-Mart man.

I'm happy she's chosen the Prince. Not that there's anything wrong with working at Wal-Mart.

What a wish

Tonight the kiddos were looking out the window at the stars. Somehow they know that you make wishes on stars. Here's what I heard:

M: I wish I had gramas dogs, I wish I had gramas dogs...

A: I wish I had grampas socks, I wish I had grampas socks...

What a weird kid.

Christmas

We had a pretty good Christmas. Santa left his bag of toys and the kids loved digging into it to see what he brought.

The big hits of the day were Gorilla Attack for A. and a charm bracelet set for M. A certain little boy has been wearing big-boy superhero underpants too! (Yay!)

Dinner conversation

while having a simple dinner of crackers, meat & cheese, A suddenly cried out:

Me: What's wrong Bud, you bit your cheek?

A: No (sob) mama (sob), I ate my tongue (cry).

Poor kiddo.

Squishy-Squashies

We have a set of them now. One has froggies, one has a purse and other girl stuff. Oh, I'm sorry, you don't know what squishy-squashies are? They are wash cloths. The came packaged in a compressed shape, put them in warm water and they expand to their original size. Bought them at the dollar store for stocking stuffers, but A saw them and kept asking for his "green one" so the kids got them early.

Really?

"Oranges not for squishing, oranges for eating." - A.

the perfect photo

So, this was the photo that prompted our Christmas photo this year. THIS is the photo that was just taken and not posed. I love this photo even though it's blurry.

Both kids have been sick. M is being treated for an eye infection, and should be non-contagious at this point. It definately looks a lot better. Feel bad because they missed the last couple of days of school, but it's better they stayed home and didn't infect the entire city with their goopiness.

Words and phrases of the day include: Nug, "I wanna be 21 so I can get marr-ied" (oy!)
